The House of Secrets is a blend of mystery, romance and drama with a storyline set in the 90s.

Nigerian filmmaker and director of the blockbuster, Wedding Party 2, Niyi Akinmolayan, has released the official trailer video for his upcoming film titled The House of Secrets. The highly anticipated movie, set to be Anthill Studios’ first release in 2023, is a spy-thriller shot primarily in shades of grey, black, and white.
The House of Secrets, which is a production of Niyi Akinmolayan’s led Anthill Studios , will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on June 30, 2023, as part of a multi-year deal signed with the streamer in January 2022. Unlike previous productions from Anthill Studios, the film will be released directly on the streaming platform without a theatrical release, making it the studio’s first straight-to-streaming title.

Set in the 90s, The House of Secrets revolves around haunting pasts and uncovered secrets within its walls, exploring the themes of time, truth, and love. The official trailer teases intriguing mysteries and hidden memories that must be remembered, raising anticipation for the film.
Written by Niyi Akinmolayan and Dolapo Adigun, The House of Secrets features an ensemble cast including Efe Irele, Shawn Faqua, Kate Henshaw, Onajite Dede, Femi Jacobs, Taye Arimoro, Emeka Nwagbaraocha, Gbubemi Ejeye, Metein Ebiwari, Moyinoluwa Olutayo, Ekpenyong Bassey Inyang, Tobi Daniels, Anee Icha, Funlola Aofiyebi and many more.
The film, shot in Lagos with Barny Emordi serving as the director of photography, is produced by Victoria Akunjobi and directed by Akinmolayan.

Niyi Akinmolayan is renowned for his directorial prowess, having helmed several blockbuster movies in Nollywood including The Set Up, Chief Daddy, Prophetess, and The Wedding Party 2. He’s the founder and creative director of Anthill Studios, a media production and animation studio based in Lagos. The studio is behind some of Nollywood’s remarkable works, including Elevator Baby, The Man for the Job, and King of Thieves.
Aside from The House of Secrets, they also have an exciting upcoming young adult project titled Mikolo in the works.
