Ayoba’s users will have access to a diverse range of music and audio content from Boomplay, including curated playlists and new releases.

Africa’s biggest music streaming platform, Boomplay, has announced a cross-platform partnership with Ayoba, a popular instant messaging app. This development is geared towards revolutionising the digital entertainment landscape on the continent. The announcement was made during a live music event in collaboration with Afrobeats sensation, Teni in Lagos, Nigeria. 

The collaboration involves seamlessly integrating Boomplay’s extensive music and audio content onto the Ayoba app, creating an unparalleled music streaming experience for users. Thus, Ayoba’s users will have access to a diverse range of music and audio content from Boomplay, including curated playlists and new releases.

More importantly, users can enjoy this content without incurring additional internet charges when accessing Ayoba using the MTN network. 

Boomplay’s communications and public relations manager for Africa, Paul Azumah-Ayitey, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Our goal has always been to make music more accessible in Africa. This partnership will enable us to reach more music lovers across the continent and offer them a seamless streaming experience to enjoy and share content from our extensive catalogue with other users.”

Similarly, Ayoba’s CEO, Burak Akinci echoed these sentiments, saying, “This partnership has also enabled us to increase the playlist offering and offer a broader choice of music. Our mission remains to provide the best hyperlocal content to our users across Africa, and we truly believe this partnership will go a long way in achieving our goal.”

Ayoba users will have the option to access Boomplay’s premium features directly through the Ayoba platform, offering an ad-free subscription to Boomplay’s extensive catalogue of over 120 million songs. The integration has already rolled out across Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Tanzania, and Egypt, and more countries will be able to get access to this integration shortly.
