Nigerian music streaming app, Jumamo, has announced a strategic partnership with Australian business-to-business streaming tech company, Tuned Global – to strengthen the latter’s foothold in the African music scene.
This announcement follows Tuned Global’s recent expansion initiatives in Africa, with a recent collaboration with Sewasew Multimedia, an Ethiopian rights management, record label, and streaming platform. As part of its plans, Tuned Global is integrating the Universal Music Group catalogue into its service, enriching its content offering and ensuring a broader range of music genres for its users.
Jumamo, notable for its commitment to promoting local talent and empowering African artistes, claims to be the first online radio platform where artistes are remunerated for their streams, and playlist curators receive recognition for the popularity of their carefully crafted playlists.
