Marc Adebesin’s “Hustle” Set for Digital Release on Prime Video

Hustle explores Chichi’s internal conflict as she navigates her relationships and uncovers surprising truths.

Nollywood drama, Hustle, is gearing up for a digital release and will be available for streaming on Prime Video starting from July 21, 2023.

Directed and produced by Marc Adebesin, Hustle premiered nationwide across 58 cinemas on July 9th, 2021. The film, distributed by Cinemax, accumulated an impressive gross box office total of ₦14,252,300 over the course of its six-week theatrical run.

Written by Beth Rogers, Hustle follows Chichi and her friend-with-benefits, Baba Gee, as they engage in manipulative activities targeting wealthy men. Chichi’s dissatisfaction with Baba Gee’s behaviour intensifies when she develops feelings for Tunde, a potential target. Unknown to Chichi, Tunde is an experienced con artist turned legitimate. He offers her guidance and becomes both a potential love interest and a mentor.

The film’s 115-minute runtime explores Chichi’s internal conflict as she navigates her relationships and uncovers surprising truths while unraveling unexpected twists and suspenseful moments.

Cast ensemble for the film includes Nancy Isime, Bimbo Ademoye, Jim Iyke, Gabriel Afolayan, Femi Branch, Woli Arole, Jeffrey Epule, Chinonso Ukah, Kelechi Ayinkude Bolaji Ogunmola, and Princess Brun Njua.

Adebesin, the film’s director, is an award-winning filmmaker based in London. His debut feature film, Talking Dolls, had over 44 nominations and 19 awards and was selected at various film festival across the globe, including the Toronto Nollywood International Film Festival. Adebesin, under his production company, Bluewater Solutions, has produced six films and directed four, including Alter the Date and his latest project, Dice, released in May 2023.

Hustle is a production of Adebesin’s Bluewater Solutions, a UK based production company with specialty in creating exceptional imagery and strategic video solutions and stories that resonate with viewers, in collaboration with Peacock Omowunmi Productions.
