Applications are now being accepted for the fifth cycle of the Black Rock Senegal artist residency. Established by renowned US-based artist, Kehinde Wiley in 2019, this multi-disciplinary artist-in-residence programme is set to run from September 2024 to May 2025.
The Black Rock Senegal artist residency invites creatives from around the world to immerse themselves in the vibrant cultural landscape of Dakar, Senegal. The program spans one to three months, offering a unique opportunity for creatives to live, create, and exchange ideas. This opportunity is open to creatives from all nationalities and across diverse mediums, fostering a global community of creators. Applicants must be over the age of 18 to be considered.
How to Apply
Interested creatives are invited to complete the online application here on or before 15th January. The application process entails submitting a cover letter, current CV, and portfolio works with descriptions and images.
The number of portfolio works required varies based on the selected medium. If your medium is not explicitly listed, you are encouraged to choose the discipline that best aligns with your artistic practice or is most closely related to your portfolio work and proposed residency project.
