Rising voice from far North-Eastern Nigeria, Aisé Maryah, returns with a new song, “XIX,” the lead song off her forthcoming EP. “XIX” is produced by ShamBee Puzzle, a music producer based in Abuja, Nigeria.
“XIX,” the roman numeral for 19, is the same as Aisé Maryah’s age. Maryah clocked a year older on August 31st, 2022. For her, “XIX” represents growth and entry into womanhood. She started making music in her early teens, and released her debut single, “Fool for U,” at 17.
Maryah is a pop minstrel, singer, and songwriter from the Northern city of Maiduguri, Nigeria.
