Vincent Okonkwo‘s feature film, Honey Money, is set to have its theatrical release this April. The film has also been selected for the 10th edition of Nollywood week Film Festival, scheduled to hold May 11-14, 2023 in Paris. This marks a significant milestone for Okonkwo, whose reputation in the industry continues to rise.
Honey Money is directed by the AMVCA award-winning director, Ekene Mekwunye, and follows the story of Tobiloba , a young man in his twenties from a humble background, who is faced with strong disapproval from his parents when he starts showing up at home with things beyond his financial capabilities. Unknown to them, he belongs to a notorious gang funding his new lifestyle.

The thrilling crime drama boasts of a talented ensemble cast featuring Timini Egbuson, Nancy Isime, Iyabo Ojo, Femi Branch, Junior Pope Odonwodo, Lina Idoko, Sandra Okunzuwa, Dayo Amusa, Somadina Adinma, Olaniyan Irewolede Cynthia, and more.
Honey Money is the third project by VSL Media, helmed by Okonkwo, and follows the success of their previous releases, The Wildflower, and Passport. The upcoming title is the first of the three highly-anticipated projects announced for the year, including Ruthless, currently undergoing pre-production stages.
Distributed by FilmOne Entertainment, Honey Money will be available in cinemas nationwide from April 28, 2023.
