The BRIT Awards has confirmed that Afrobeats superstar, Rema, will join a star-studded lineup of performers for this year’s edition, set to electrify the iconic O2 Arena in London on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024. The artiste will be sharing the stage with an array of music’s brightest stars, including the likes of Dua Lipa, Raye, and Kylie Minogue.
Adding to the excitement, Rema finds himself in contention for the coveted International Song of the Year award with his smash hit, “Calm Down”. This recognition places him alongside fellow African talents such as Tyla with “Water” and Libianca’s “People”.
Notably, the singer is not the only Nigerian artiste making waves at the BRIT Awards this year. Fellow Nigerian acts, Burna Boy and Asake have also received nominations in the prestigious International Artiste of the Year category, underscoring the growing recognition of African talents on a global scale.
