In a recent statement, TiAE shared the inspiration behind “No Lies” stating, “The song playfully and uniquely addresses the notion and stereotype that all Nigerian guys, especially Yoruba guys, are promiscuous. Within the first few lines, I acknowledge that I know ‘My reputation’ (that of my fellow Nigerian guys) precedes me, but with me, there are ‘No Lies.’ This song combines elements of African pop beats, smooth R&B vocals, and feel.”
