Afro-Pop star, Oxlade, celebrated globally for his chart-topping single, “Ku Lo Sa”, has released a compelling two-track pack, “Katigori/Piano”. This release showcases Oxlade in both celebratory and reflective mode, as he continues to cement his status as a superstar of his generation.
It features “Katigori”, a mid-tempo Afrobeats anthem produced by maestro Timmy, and “Piano”, produced by seasoned hitmaker, P. Priime, a romantic ballad that is sure to become a staple in romantic playlists.
In a statement about the two-track pack, Oxlade shares, “‘Katigori’ is a three-year-old record; it was created in a space where I had fame but not success. It was me manifesting where I am now and prophesying my future because I feel like there’s a moment in my music career where everybody will accept that I’m the GOAT. On the other hand, ‘Piano’ is a result of all my fast-paced records that didn’t get the blessings they deserved. Now that I have the audience and numbers, I want to show everyone the fast, club side of Oxlade. ‘Piano’ is the strongest song I’ve dropped this year musically. I want everyone to have 2 sides of the coin, the cautious and the party Oxlade. Piano is a love song, Katigori is a statement piece, letting them know that we’re not mates.”
Oxlade, a formidable force in the music industry, has consistently dominated charts and world stages alike. His resume is nothing short of extraordinary, from sharing the stage with Usher at the Global Citizen Festival in Ghana to a mesmerising performance alongside Wizkid at the Accor Arena in France. His hit single “Ku Lo Sa” has garnered widespread acclaim, achieving double platinum status in Switzerland and platinum certifications in Canada, France, and Germany.
