Ghanaian-Nigerian author, Bisi Adjapon’s new novel, Daughter in Exile, is set for publication in March 2023. The novel was acquired as part of a two-book deal by Harper Collins Publishing.

Daughter in Exile, Adjapon’s second novel, centres on a young Ghanaian woman, and the challenges she faces in the United States as an illegal immigrant.

Adjapon is the author of the The Teller of Secrets, a novel that centres around Esi, a Nigerian-Ghanaian girl. 

The publishers of Adjapon’s new novel notes that, “Harrowing, eye-opening, and utterly unforgettable, Daughter in Exile is a story about motherhood, love and what defines us all.”

Adjapon’s work has appeared on  McSweeney’s Quarterly, Washington Times, Daily Graphic, and Chicken Bones. She lives in Ghana.
