Durban-based Hip-Hop artiste, Txwxndx (pronounced Tawanda), has released the music video for his latest single, “One Wish.” Shot in the streets of Durban, the visuals for “One Wish” was produced by THEBOYNAMEDSIMBA, and co-directed by Txwxndx and Innocent Cele.

Txwxndx (real name Tawanda Kasunzuma), is an independent artiste originally from Mbombela, Mpumalanga, South Africa. The Hip-Hop singer, who began making music in 2013, draws inspiration from his environment and sings of the everyday challenges of living and loving. His artistry is influenced by trap music, with elements of R&B. Txwxndx relies on dark and melodic soundscapes to showcase his unconventional style of music. On “One Wish,” the artiste gets personal, as he sings of the difficulties encountered in the pursuit for fame.

The single was well received by listeners, and with the new music video, Txwxndx puts a face to his sound. The minimalist video also aptly captures the singer’s emotions, and message the song passes across.

“The shoot was fun and spontaneous, we kept the planning to a minimum on purpose. The simplicity is emphasised by the predominantly black and white attire (used in the video). By keeping it simple, the audience can easily take in the song’s message without too many distractions,” Txwxndx shares with Afrocritik
