Five African writers have been selected for The Library of Africa and the African Diaspora (LOATAD) AU20 “Our Africa, Our Future” writing residency. The residency and its events are being hosted in Accra, the capital of Ghana at the LOATAD Centre.
The five residents are as follows:
Nour Kamel (Egypt)
TJ Benson (Nigeria)
Musih Tedji Xaviere (Cameroon)
Tony Mochama (Kenya)
Sue Nyathi (South Africa)
The judges noted that the five selected writers were culled from, “an overwhelming number of applications” from across the African continent, and they note that they represented, “the best of African literary talent as well as the literary future.”
