Sele Got’s Film, “Charlie and the Boys,” Set to Hit Cinemas in September

Charlie and the Boys sets to premiere in Nigerian cinemas by September 2023 Afrocritik

The film, which was shot in Nigeria and Dubai, will be distributed by Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution.

Nigerian filmmaker, Sele Got’s film, Charlie and the Boys, will debut in cinemas in Nigeria on September 29, 2023. The film, which was shot in Nigeria and Dubai, will be distributed by Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution. The film stars Kanayo O. Kanayo, Sani Mu’Azu, Seun Ajayi, Loud Voice, Erica Opia Bale, Lantana Ahmed, Gloria Lemmy Johnson, Folake Akinfewa, Ozioma Onodigbo, Fredrik Skog, Mårten Skog, and Peter Sivlér.

The Damn Good Studios production film was written by Nwamaka Chikezie and Emil Garuba, and directed by Sele Got. It tells the story of Charles Omoke (Kanayo O. Kanayo), who gets out of jail after being convicted of a failed heist. He discovers that he was betrayed by someone he trusted, and decides to exert revenge by plotting with his two sidekicks to steal a rare artifact.

Charlie and the Boys screened at an event in Stockholm, Sweden, for the Stockholm business community and for Nigerian government officials. Bem Pever and Sele Got produced the film.
