Nominees announcement will hold live on Africa Magic Channels on April 9, 2023.

The 9th edition of Africa’s most anticipated entertainment awards, Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) has been scheduled to hold from May 18th to May 20th, 2023. The ceremony organised by Multichoice, in partnership with Africa Magic, will showcase film production skills, culture, fashion, music, and other aspects of African entertainment.
Announcing the news at a press conference, Dr. Busola Tejumola, Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice, said, “the AMVCA has become a benchmark of excellence over the last eight years… this edition stands out because it is being hosted in the 20th year of Africa Magic operations in Nigeria.”
The three-day festival, sponsored by Amstel Malta, and Zagg Energy Drink, boasts of an exciting lineup that will include African Culture Day, Digital Content Creators and Young Filmmakers Days, a Runway Show/Nominee Gala, followed by the highly anticipated Award Night, with Femi Odugbemi serving as head judge of the Jury.
According to Dr. Tejumola, this year’s entries for AMVCA recorded an impressive increase of 40%, compared to the previous edition.
All nominees for the AMVCA will be announced live on Africa Magic channels, April 9, 2023 at 7pm, thereafter, the voting portal will be opened.
