The organisers of the Lagos Book and Art Festival have announced the timeline for the 2023 edition of the event. This year’s theme is “The Reset: History and the Darkling Plan”, and will be held from November 13th to 19th, 2023.

The festival will feature many activities such as book treks, musical performances, book and art exhibitions, film screenings, panel discussions, symposiums, cultural exhibitions, and others. The festival will also select different books for its annual Books of the Festival ceremony.

Founded in 1999 by the Committee for Relevant Art (CORA), the Lagos Book and Art Festival is an annual arts event held over seven days in different venues in Lagos State, Nigeria. Over the years, the festival has been tagged “Africa’s biggest culture picnic” and it has hosted the top names in the African literary community. 

The guest speakers, the order of the programme, and the books selected for the Books of the Festival ceremony will be announced soon.
