A Weekend to Forget is Nigerian director, Damola Ademola’s directorial debut and serves as Inkblot Productions’ third feature film this year.

One of Nigeria’s leading production houses, Inkblot Productions, is set to release its latest psychological thriller, A Weekend to Forget, slated for the 22nd of September, 2023. A Weekend to Forget is Nigerian director, Damola Ademola’s directorial debut and serves as Inkblot Productions’ third feature film this year. The film features talented actors such as Daniel Etim-Effiong, Neo Akpofure, Elozonam Ogbolu, Erica Nweledim, Ini-Dima Okojie, Stan Nze, Uche Montana, Akin Lewis, and many others.
The film, which has been described as “a first-of-its-kind thriller in the Nigerian film industry,” explores human psychology and the downsides of chasing one’s darkest desires.

Ademola has also shared his thoughts and experiences about creating the soon-to-be-released film, “I couldn’t be more excited to be working alongside such a talented cast and crew to bring this first-of-its-kind thriller to the Nigerian film industry and all our viewers worldwide,” he stated in an interview with ShockNG. “Viewers can expect a gripping, engaging and deeply challenging story,” he added.
The film’s concept was conceived by Ademola and co-developed by Chiemeka Osagwu. Joy Isi Bewaji wrote the screenplay. A Weekend To Forget is produced in collaboration with Film One Studios.
Inkblot Productions has previously released Love in a Pandemic in February, and Big Love in June, as two of its four films slated for theatrical release in 2023.
