Davido Announces the Release of his Fourth Studio Album, “Timeless”

The project, which will be released on March 31st, 2023, is Davido’s first project after releasing A Better Time in 2020.

Nigerian artiste, Davido has announced the release of his highly anticipated fourth studio album titled Timeless. In a cinematic trailer released yesterday, the artiste sends a heartfelt message to his fans and invites them to the next phase of his career. The project, which will be released on March 31st, 2023, is Davido’s first project after releasing A Better Time in 2020.

After taking a well-deserved break, Davido is set to return to mainstream music with the release of the soon-to-be-released 17-track project.

While announcing on his Instagram page, Davido wrote, “There is a time for everything. A time to Grieve and a time to Heal. A time to Laugh and a time to Dance. A time to Speak and A time for Silence. Thank you to everyone out there for your love and support that has held me down. All the love and messages while I was away, the gifts sent, the concerts you all threw! I appreciate it all. Today, I want to remind you all that what is now Timeless, was once new. It’s time for something new. My next album TIMELESS is here March 31st. Pre-save link in bio.”

Ahead of the album’s release, Davido has collaborated with Spotify to create a unique playlist tagged Timeless Afro Playlist. The playlist contains 40 Afrobeats songs Davido considers timeless. Some artistes on the playlist include Naeto C, Sunny Neji, Korede Bello, Paul Play, Black Magic, Fela Kuti, D’banj, Olu Maintain, CKay, Chuddy K, Simi, Dagrin, and many others.

Speaking about the playlist, Spotify’s Head of Music for Africa, Phiona Okumu, said, “Davido represents the audacity, consistency and huge reach of Afrobeats and we’re glad to herald his new body of work by joining him in highlighting some of the most enduring contributions by Afrobeats acts to our musical canon over the years.”
