The TRACE Awards & Summit is returning in 2025 with a renewed sense of energy and purpose, bringing Africa’s biggest and brightest stars to the fore.

Slated for February 26 in the cultural haven of Zanzibar, the event is poised to be a celebration of the sound and stories driving African music’s ever-expanding resonance.

Voting opens on January 2, 2025, at www.traceawards.plus and closes on February 15, 2025. Public votes will determine 50% of the results, with the rest decided by an expert jury.

This year’s ceremony, featuring 24 categories, showcases the pulse of genres that is not just limited to Afrobeats, Amapiano, Hip-Hop, and R&B.

The TRACE Awards highlight the richness and excellence of Afro music through genres such as Afrobeats, Dancehall, Afro-Pop, Mbalax, Zouk, Kizomba, Genge, Coupé-décalé, Bongo Flava, Soukous, Gospel, Rap, Raï, Kompa, RnB, and Rumba. Artistes from over 30 countries across Africa, South America, the Caribbean, the Indian Ocean, and Europe are competing in 24 categories.
