The Nollywood stars will be presented with the awards at the AFRIFF Globe Awards Night.

The organisers of the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) have announced that a set of Nollywood actors: Richard Mofe-Damijo, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Tobi Bakre, Kunle Remi, Ini Edo, Lateef Adedimeji, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Femi Adebayo, Funke Akindele, Chioma Chukwuka, and Chidi Mokeme, will be honorees of the Outstanding Performance Awards at the 12th edition of the AFRIFF. The Nollywood stars will be presented with the awards at the AFRIFF Globe Awards Night.
Sponsored by MTN, Mofe-Damijo will receive an award for his acting in The Black Book, while Edo and Mokeme will be awarded for their roles in Shanty Town. Ikpe-Etim will receive the honour for her role in 4-4-44. Gangs of Lagos stars, Bakre and Chukwuka, will be awarded for their roles in the film, while Adedimeji and Adebayo will be awarded for Jagun Jagun. Chukwujekwu and Akindele will be honoured for their roles in The Trade and Battle On Buka Street, respectively.

The Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) is an annual film festival in Nigeria. The festival was founded by Chioma Ude in 2010. Since its creation, the festival has showcased different films across several genres, held panel sessions and seminars, and also awarded talented filmmakers. The festival will be held from the 5th-11th of November, 2023, in Lagos, Nigeria.
