Award-winning Nigerian TV producer, Uche Ikejimba, the prolific Nigerian producer behind Big Brother Naija and Showmax’s Agu, has announced a range of new scripted projects under her Blink Africa imprint. She unveiled these projects in a feature with American publication, Deadline published earlier today.

Known for her work in both drama and reality TV, Uche Ikejimba is diversifying her portfolio with the drama series Lagos Love Stories, Alex From Oil & Gas, and a documentary titled Ashes.

One of the highlights is Lagos Love Stories, a ten-part drama series that promises to explore the complexities of finding love in Nigeria’s bustling capital. “People say one of the worst places you can find love is Lagos — and this is about their love stories,” Ikejimba told Deadline.

The series will feature ten distinct relationships, exploring themes of resilience, heartbreak, deceit, and the unpredictable nature of romance in one of West Africa’s most chaotic cities. She described the show as “Euphoria meets Insecure meets Gen Z meets Emily in Paris”. Production is set to begin in June, with a potential release date yet to be revealed.

However, audiences do not have to wait long for Alex From Oil & Gas, her new romantic dramedy which will air across three days on Africa Magic during the 2025 Valentine season.
