The Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) Awards have released the nominations list for its 8th award ceremony. This year’s TINFF Awards ceremony will be held on September 15.
Some of the nominees include Jimmy Odukoya, Uzor Arukwe, Pete Edochie, and Wale Ojo, who were nominated in the Best Actor category, while Ireti Doyle, Tope Olowoniyan, Nancy Isime, Blessing Jessica Obasi, and others were nominated in the Best Actress category. African films, Subterfuge and The Merry Men 3 (Nemesis) are some of the most nominated films.
TINFF is a multicultural music and film festival. With a focus on celebrating diversity, the festival aims to spotlight and empower filmmakers across the globe. TINFF recently became the first Nigerian and African festival to gain accreditation from Telefilm Canada and the Canadian Screen Awards (CSA). This means all past and present official selections can be considered for the CSAs.
